Military Accomplishments:
Navy Captain Philip J. Metres JR., USNR (Retired) served in the US Navy as a
commissioned line officer with surface warfare specialty from 10 Jun 64 til
13 Jul 69 as USN officer . From Sep 69 to 1 Oct 91 Captain Metres served in
the Naval Reserve and retired as a Captain , USNR . He served 5 yrs active,
22 yrs in the Ready Reserve.
Capt Metres completed his MA in Social Psychology & Ph.D. in
Professional Psychology at US International University in San Diego . He has
been working as a clinical psychologist in independent practice in
Northbrook IL since 1978. He is married and has 3 adult children-A College
English professor- poet,-a State Dept political officer, and a soon to be
graduating student at Northwestern University.
