My name is Farouq Gazali, I was born at the country side of Ibb province,
Yemen in the mid 70's. My father immigrated to the US in the early 60's. I
immigrated to the States in the late 80's. I graduated Junior and High
school out of Brooklyn New York, and had some college education. I live
currently in queens New York. I joined the United States Navy in 2000 . So
far it has been a rewarding experience. I have a lot of pride in my self as
an Arab American and in my service in the United States Navy.
Accomplishment: I served in Naval Support activity in Bahrain from late 2001
to late 2002. I recieved sailor of the month award for June 2002 out of as
many as 600 personnel in the security force there. I am Stationed on the USS
Carl Vinson, an air craft carrier I served in Special operation Command,
Counter terrorism Unit in the middle east for over 10 months. My plans for
the future. At the end of my enlistment I plan on Staying reserve and since
my specialty is in law enforcement, I plan on joining the NYPD.
